High School Support Initiative (HSSI)
HSSI is a program that operates through the Stanford Haas Center for Public Service. It supports high school students from historically marginalized communities by connecting Stanford students who can serve as tutors and mentors after school.

The objective was to have students identify that the construction of the new basketball hoop we were standing on removed critical habitat for a hawk family that invited coyote population to take over its niche as a predator.
Students were amazing ecological detectives and had a great afternoon!
49'ers Academy
At Menlo Atherton High School I was paired up with a few students to help them pass classes and eventually graduate from high school. We created individual learning plans and worked through their homework every day. The subject areas we worked on were Algebra, History, Economics, English as a Second Language, and Spanish.
